Camping (or glamping) is a great way to spend quality time with both family and friends. Not only can it allow you to be at one with nature, but it’s a good way to relax and unplug from day-to-day life.
What we like about camping is that you’re able to enjoy a break and still maintain a social distance, if Covid-19 is something you’re concerned about. Plus, taking your own camping equipment also means that you’re not staying in the same sheets someone else was sleeping in the night before, so you are able to ensure you are in control of any extra hygiene or safety precautions that you may want to take.

Cornish Tipi Holidays
Cornwall is an obvious destination choice for those wanting to stay within UK borders, but accommodation often comes with a hefty price tag. If you want to get off the grid, disconnect from your tech and reconnect with nature and your friends or family, this hidden gem in the heart of Cornwall is the place for you.
With a beautiful meadow ready to set up in alongside other campers, as well as more secluded spots if you’d prefer, this site gives you the option to bring your own equipment or to hire a North American Tipi to spend your break in.
You can go swimming, fishing and canoeing on the stunning nearby lake as well as enjoy the fire pits in the evening (great for marshmallows, if you, like us, have a sweet tooth!).
The nearest train station is 18 miles away and a 40-minute taxi ride from the station if you’d rather not drive, or don’t drive.
You are super close to the beach, where you can take surfing lessons or go sea-kayaking, or buy fresh fish and scallops to cook on the campfire. Further afield are some stunning walks including the Cornwall Coastal Footpath and the Saints’ Way.
There is also an onsite café for breakfast and lunch, or some lovely homemade cakes should you not want to venture too far. Otherwise, there are restaurants not too far away in the local town. However, with the option to cook from your tipi with the grill provided as well as the fire pit outside, the sky is the limit.

Woodland Plush Tents Glamping
An eco-friendly site based in Chichester, you can either bring your own camper van or hire one of the many yurts available at this destination!
The Yurts are heated, with a wood-burning stove lit by staff who then help you to keep it maintained as well as hammocks, BBQ, tea & coffee readily available and an outdoor fire pit. You can also order luxury hampers for breakfast, lunch or dinner that can be delivered directly to your yurt – what more could you need?
The beach is only a short distance away and you can take in the beautiful scenes of Chichester by wandering around the historic town. Visit Fishbourne Roman Palace, Kingley Vale or even take a look around Goodwood motor circuit.
The site also encourages guests to join in, with a communalbonfire in the evening.

Lazy Duck
Nestled in the lovely Cairngorms National Park just a shorttrip from Aviemore, Lazy Duck is the brain child of the Dean family.
With the option of camping or staying in their stunning eco lodges, your cosy countryside escape isn’t far away.

Top of the Woods
Enjoy being submerged in nature and the slower pace of life here in Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, right by Cardigan Bay.
This is the ultimate destination for camping and glamping fans with options including: your own camper van, safari lodges, nature domes, bell tents and a stunning meadow for you to camp in.
There is a communal fire pit as there is with a lot of these places, along with a hammock garden, meadow games, ‘Hide & Seek’ willow garden, the Dutch barn for shelter, and all-important charging stations.
Food and drink options on-site are almost limitless, with pizza, Asian, seafood, stew nights and breakfasts available throughout the year as well as many cafes, bistros and restaurants nearby.
If you are an animal lover, you will enjoy seeing lizards, bats, badgers, otters and birds as well as the camp cats and dog, chickens and Kune Kune pigs which you can feed upon request.
You are also close to the beach so think water sports, walking and cycling, in addition to, dolphin watching, coasteering and much more!

Low Wray
Situated on the shoreline of Lake Windemere in the Lake District, Low Wray offers standard camping for tents and vans, as well as camping pods, safari tents and tree tents.
In terms of food, there’s a shop on-site and woodfired pizza available on certain days of the week. There are also two pubs with restaurant areas within 2 miles of the site, but booking ahead is recommended as these destinations get busy quickly!
If you are into mountain biking there are great tracks such as Claife Heights and nearby Grizedale Forest, which are easily accessible from the campsite. If walking is more your thing, there are tracks nearby leading over Claife Heights towards Sawrey, the home of Beatrix Potter.
There are no fires allowed on this site as it is a NationalTrust site, but BBQ’s are allowed as long as they are above ground, so you canstill have the camping marshmallow experience.
